Intermont Wins Third National Dressage Championship
Virginia Intermont’s dressage team took top honors at the Ninth Annual Intercollegiate Dressage Association National Team Championship with an overall team score of 37 points.
Intermont’s 4 person team scored three second place ribbons and one 9th to clinch the team championship over 11 other teams from colleges throughou tthe US.. IDA competitions field 4 member teams to ride in First Level, Upper Training, Lower Training and Introductory following tests created by the US Equestrian Federation.
Intermont’s Elizabeth Mirson started off the competition on a positive note scoring a combined percentage to 66.14% in First Level. She was followed by Gigi Good in Upper Training who won Intermont’s second reserve ribbon with a combined score
of 69%. Intermont scored a third second place in a row when Claire Almon finished her Lower Training test with a combined score of 68.48%. The last Cobra in the ring was Chelsea Dressler who finished in 9th place with 62.75.
